The system transports lube oil from the main tank to the engine. The system consists primarily of the supply pumps (redundant), pump protection filters, an automatic filter with a defined filtration rate, and a lube oil treatment system (optional).
The lube oil is transported via the supply pumps, screened by the pump protection filters, through the automatic filter (fine filtration). Flushing oil treatment can be applied optionally in the backflushing line.
The majority (approx. 95 %) of the filtered lube oil is supplied directly to the engine. The rest of the oil is filtered even further by an additional automatic filter and is used for the hydraulic power supply in two-stroke engines (common rail).
The automatic backflushing filter type 6.64.1 cleans itself based on an adjustable period of time or by reaching a differential pressure due to the collection of contamination. In addition, this type of filter can be outfitted with a change over valve and attached by-pass filter (optional), which also ensures the supply of filtered lube oil while performing maintenance.
The automatic backflushing filter type 6.64.1, equipped with fine filter elements, is located in the open hydraulic system and helps to keep the concentration of particles in the lube oil at a low level for the entire engine.
This filter also cleans itself based on an adjustable period of time or by reaching a differential pressure due to the collection of contamination. In addition, this type of filter can be outfitted with a change over valve and attached by-pass filter (optional), which also ensures the supply of filtered lube oil while performing maintenance.
The automatic backflushing filter type 6.48 is a continuous backflushing filter.
This type of filter can be mounted on the engine and operates in horizontal and vertical configuration. The 6.48 filter features an internal fail-safe function with a second filtration stage in order to ensure at all times the supply of filtered lube oil to the engine.
The duplex filter can also be installed optionally as an indicator directly in front of the engine if the automatic 6.48 filter is not mounted directly on the engine.
